How I Make Seamless “Panoramic” Instagram Posts
Sometimes your followers can get bored. Sometimes we have to use different tactics to gain engagement back.
Something I like to use with my clients is something I call seamless “panoramic” posts. It’s difficult to explain…so let me just show you.
This is an example of one I did for Waxing Kara about their Spa Collection before the full picture is broken down into “slices”.
With seamless instagram posts you can really use anything. You can make an infographic with text, a collage, or you can take a plain and simple image and make it seamlessly scroll.
Let me show you the final effect of both, and then tell you how I got to that point.
First, open Adobe Photoshop and create a 1:1 ratio. (I like to use pixels, so I do 1080x1080).
Next, go to canvas size and figure out how many squares you want. For my infographic I wanted 7 squares, so I put 700%.
Go to new guide layout and put 7 columns. (This will vary based on how many squares you picked.) Make sure the width in-between them is 0 pixels.
Next, use the slice tool. The shortcut for this on PC is shift+c.
Double click on each individual box made up. You can name them and save them as images.
The final step is exporting.
Go to File -> Export -> Save For Web (legacy) and click on that. (Shortcut is Alt + Shift + Ctrl + S)
Save as a Jpeg or whatever you prefer to wherever you prefer.
Make sure you save as Images Only and as All User Slices.
Now you have a seamless instagram post!
