Canva
What is it? Canva was made to be a graphic design platform.
What can I do on it? You can create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content.
Is it free? The app is free to use but offers paid subscriptions like Canva Pro and Canva for Enterprise for extra content.

Canva is probably the most user friendly platform out there to use. It offers templates you can use for those who aren’t skilled in graphic design.
The free version of canva offers over 250,000+ free templates, hundreds of thousands of free photos and graphics, and you can even invite members of your team to collaborate on the site.
I used to use canva at my job for quick and simple instagram stories and even infographics. Sometimes it’s just was easier than opening up Adobe Photoshop or Indesign. No shame in that!
I never bothered getting Canva Pro. It costs $12.99 a month, which is a bit pricey in comparison to other graphic design apps out there. This gets you 420,000+ free templates, 75+ million premium stock photos, videos, audio and graphics, and more. It just never was worth it to me for the little amount of time I spent on the app.
2. Adobe Spark
What is it? Adobe Spark is a mobile design app that helps you create social graphics, short videos, and web pages.
What can I do on it? Create social graphics, youtube thumbnails, slideshows, posters, videos, logos, and more.
Is it free? The Adobe Spark Starter Plan, which includes the website and app are free. There is a full version of Adobe Spark is a paid service that sits on top of the Starter Plan and lets you create branded stories with your own logo, colors, and fonts.

Adobe Spark is very similar to Canva, and is a much easier version of Adobe’s very own Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop combined. It has thousands of templates, and lets you create anything graphics related. You can even create videos.
There’s less options than what Canva offers, but honestly the Adobe Spark is just as good. It’s really up to personal preference.
When it comes to premium editions of the app…Adobe Spark’s cheapest plan costs $9.99 per month, which is $3 cheaper than Canva’s cheapest paid plan.
3. Crello
What is it? Crello is a graphic design tool that allows you to quickly create content for social media.
What can I do on it? Create social graphics, video, ads, animated content, and more.
Is it free? It’s free to download 5 designs every month and have access to thousands of templates. There is also Crello Pro that offers access to everything.
Available on the app store & online.
Crello works very similarly to Canva. In fact, they even look very similar.
For the free plan of Crello, you get 5 design downloads every month, 50K+ static and animated graphic design templates, 1M+ free premium images, thousands of Full HD video clips and animations, and instant access to 200M+ royalty-free stock files from Depositphotos.
Crello Pro is cheaper than both Canva Pro and Adobe Stock Pro at just $7.99. This allows everything I just mentioned, plus you can download projects and royalty-free files without limits. You can also brand your created content.
4. Unsplash
What is it? Unsplash is a website dedicated to sharing stock photography.
What can I do on it? The website and app provide free visuals for people to share and people to use. The photos are high quality.
Is it free? The photos are free to use and can be used for most commercial, personal projects, and for editorial use, but check out the terms anyways.

I’ve mentioned three graphic design apps so far. While all of them have included stock images, Unsplash is a site that is purely just stock photos. The best part about Unsplash is that it is fueled by creators. Anyone can upload their photography, and anyone (like you) can use it.
It’s a great way to enhance your instagram, facebook, or website!
5. Planoly
What is it? Planoly lets instagram users manage and visualize their posts before posting it live. Users can also schedule posts.
What can I do on it? Visualize your instagram feed, schedule instagram posts, and upload instagram posts.
Is it free? Planoly offers 30 uploads per month for their free plan. They also offer a Solo, Duo, and Custom Paid Plans.

If you want a free, easy way to visualize your instagram feed…Planoly is it. Along with planning and publishing content, you can also analyze your data.
The free plan allows you to connect 1 instagram account and 1 pinterest account and lets you upload 30 uploads per month for each separate account. It’s free to use for as long as you want. There’s 3 paid plans. The Solo is $7, the Duo is $15, and the Custom is $23.
Out of all of these, my favorites are most definitely Canva and Planoly, but feel free to try them all.
